Company history

Polimagra was founded in 1995 but began operating in 1999, at premises in the industrial zone of Moimenta da Beira, being geared from the outset to manufacturing granite products.

The company gained immediate market acceptance, extended its premises in 2000. In 2004 we extended and strengthened our installed production capacity and also began the process of internationalisation.

To mark its strong and sustained growth, Polimagra launched a new modernisation programme in 2009, which doubled the production capacity through technological updating and improved levels of organisation.

In 2010 Polimagra became a public company and obtained certification for its Quality and Environment management systems with standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 respectively.

Mission

Polimagra´s mission is to create value and employment and contribute to the development of the region, seeking to endogenize the country’s and the region’s natural resources and focus its marketing efforts on exporting its products to the most demanding international markets.
